Yes, often people don't know what his contribution was. Things have moved on a bit, but after the Second Vatican Council - John Paul II stabilised the situation - there was a real danger that what I call an "ultra-liberalism" would do in the English-speaking world the damage that had been done in places like Holland. I was frightened that might even have been going to happen in Australia. Now I think we've avoided the worst there. I think we've stabilised the situation.
